“Is There a Better Way to Fight Terrorism?” [Freakonomics Radio]

After the Paris terrorist attacks at the end of January 2015, in which 16 people were killed at the offices of the satirical magazine Charles Hedbo, the White House scheduled and held a long-delayed, many-times-postponed Summit on Countering Violent Extremism. Before the summit, Freakonomics Radio convened a panel of its own experts and pundits to talk about violent extremism—what it is, where it is, what’s been done, and what should (and can) be done about it.

I reported, produced, and edited the episode. Listen here or on Freakonomics Radio’s site.
